Happy Father's Day!

I am pretty sure that there is only one guy who ever looks at this blog-and that is my dear hubby. He definately deserves a post in honor of Father's Day, as do all the other great father's I know. I think that fatherhood can sometimes be an even more thankless job than motherhood. We have money to do our shopping, we have the things we need, we have a priesthood holder in our home....do we remember where all of that comes from? Our hard working husbands, who leave the house for long hours each day and then have to come home to chaos (in the form of their lovely children) definately deserve our love and appreciation!

My husband is able to run through his life on very little sleep and he still comes home and calms the frazzled mother and helps get kids where they need to be. He is usually the one with all the good ideas on how to manage our household (he is the organized one. Me? I'm creating the mess!) He deals with having very little "personal" space (most of his space is taken over by kid stuff) and even less personal time to do what he wants. Even though he is VERY well educated his most important job credentials (to me) are:

Expert in all math related homework

Wrestling champion (for the 10th year running)

Positive food critic

Hair Stylist (for the boys at least)

Priesthood holder

Medical advice giver

Best Friend

He is at least loved and appreciated by a three year old, who in every prayer he says, thanks Heavenly Father that Daddy could work so hard. So, to one of the most amazing father's I know: Happy Father's Day! Thanks for sharing parenthood with me!!

One other shout out goes to my own great dad and my father-in-law. Both of these men have influenced my life greatly and I love you both. Dad, thanks for all you provided when we were small and for the continued support you give us now that we are far from home. Thanks for calming my fears about long plane rides with lots of kids and for being a great grandpa! Dave, thanks for being a great example for your son and for being ready to pick us up from long plane rides and lots of kids and for being a great grandpa too!
