Band

Drew joined the band this year and played the trumpet, just like his dad. He has done a great job and was picked to be in a special number highlighting the trumpet section. There are 4 elementary schools in our district and each have students playing in the band. They all practice by instrument and school but then they come together at the end of the year to play a concert all together. They met for several weeks before school to get ready. It was so fun to see him playing up there on stage. It brought back so many memories of my own days in the band. Even though the trumpet is a bit more blaring than the piano or flute, I am grateful to have music in our home.
